Kim, RVT

Kim, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Kim is celebrating an incredible 20 years in veterinary medicine this summer, bringing both experience and heart to every patient she cares for. Her passion for animals began in high school, where she looked after her neighbours’ pets—two dogs on one side and four cats on the other—sparking what would become a lifelong career.

One of Kim’s favourite parts of the job is seeing pets happily walk into the clinic, excited to visit. She has a growing interest in animal nutrition and is always eager to continue learning and supporting her patients’ overall health. Kim shares her home with Walter, her adorable (and very sassy!) 8-month-old Shih Tzu, who she adopted from an elderly client. While small at just 10.5 pounds, Walter has a big personality and an even bigger cuddly side.

A self-proclaimed dog person with a soft spot for Beagles, Kim also loves orcas and enjoys spending her time outside the clinic going for long walks with Walter or crocheting—something she’s been passionate about since the age of four. One of the most rewarding moments in Kim’s career was helping revive a puppy delivered by C-section after being stuck in the birth canal for over 24 hours—a moment that truly highlights her dedication and skill. When it comes to treats, Kim knows exactly how to win over her feline patients—Lick It treats are always a hit!
